I think we are going to have a good blackberry crop this year! I’m sure the ones in the photo above will be delicious when ripe. The cloudless sky made an excellent background for the unripe blackberries in this picture.

Some of the bark on one of our older apple trees is covered with tree fungus. The apple tree was here when we moved into this house, so I have no way of knowing exactly how old it is. It still produces yummy apples though.


Our blackberry plants are still small, but they produced a few blackberries last year. They’re blooming and getting ready for another crop now. Hopefully we’ll have some blackberries this summer.


We planted several beds of strawberries a few years back, and had a great crop. Strawberry plants only last for two years, so most of the plants are long gone by now. When I went out this morning, I discovered this strawberry plant sprouting out of the ground. It already had a blossom on it! I wonder if it will produce any strawberries?
